Take a guided tour around this historic museum with one of our expert guides. Together you will celebrate the history, art & fun of brewing through an informative an interactive experience culminating in a beer tasting session in the elegant Brewery Tap bar where you will get to sample some of the award winning ales brewed on site. Once you have experienced everything the historic museum has to offer, immerse yourself in a “behind the scenes” encounter with our head horseman and our Shire horses. These beautiful animals were an integral part of the brewing world as far back as the 1800’s – ensuring beer got delivered to public houses. Our head horseman will demonstrate how they would prepare the animals for a day pulling the dray and how nowadays they dress them ready for local shows & parades. They truly are mesmerising animals. If the weather is good then why not take a ride on his dray?

2.5 hours. Minimum 10 persons.

Once you have taken the Full Flagon guided tour around the historic museum, we will then treat you to a tutored beer and food matching session. This is a great opportunity to learn how best to taste different beers and why these beers bring out different flavours when matched with certain foods. Sample a selection of the Brewery Tap bar tapas and beers, specifically chosen by our experts, to help you better understand how this works.

3 hours plus. Minimum 10 persons.

Once you have worked up an appetite by enjoying the Full Flagon guided tour – take a seat in the Brewery Tap restaurant and enjoy a sumptuous meal. Each course is accompanied by a different beer that we feel match perfectly. Our trained food matching expert will talk you through the brewing methods and flavours of each beer and why it compliments each dish, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy!
