Closing – Mark Palmer (Pictured)

With a comedic voice and style described by the press as “clean, classy and clever“, meet Comedian, Mark Palmer.

It doesn’t matter that Mark Palmer happens to work clean. He’s funny. And funny is the thing that matters when you’re watching a comedian. Having a comedian that is both clean and funny, especially when looking for someone to entertain your guests or MC your event, is a rare thing.

Mark’s ability to blend a theme or topic with one of today’s funniest comedy routines is unparalleled. His smart, sometimes loud and often opinionated brand of comedy has made him an audience favourite wherever he performs.

Opening – Kevin Precious

Kevin  is a stand-up comedian, MC, promoter and former teacher. He has performed his stand-up comedy routines at top venues all over the country inc: Jongleurs; the Glee; the Stand; the Comedy Cafe; and the Frog and Bucket. Added to this, he has worked for leading comedy agents such as Off the Kerb and Christian Knowles Productions. Combining his stand-up with tales of his former exploits as a teacher, he toured the nations’s arts centres and theatres with a show entitled ‘Not Appropriate’. More recently, he has been performing the show at teacher conferences, and in schools. He is also the co-founder and regular compere at a variety of ‘Barnstormers Comedy’ venues. Barnstormers’ gigs can be found in counties as diverse as Sussex, Bedfordshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Warwickshire.

Compere – Sam Russell

Sam Russell - born in a domestic bathroom, 1989. At 5 he once did stand-up at a family friend's birthday and got shouted at for being too mean to the guests.

Traumatised, he took an 18-year gap from comedy.

In 2011, Sam co-founded the improv group SHOOT FROM THE HIP!, which has  performed weekly residencies at The Top Secret Comedy ClubAngel ComedyUp The Creek and The Bill Murray.

In 2014, a comedian at Top Secret saw Sam do the opening 10 minutes of crowd work and warm up for the improv show, asking him if he would like to try some stand up at his night in London Bridge. Nervously saying yes… it turned out to the start of a career in stand up comedy.

Becoming a regular of the London Comedy Circuit, Sam now performs around the country and internationally.

If you want to see Sam perform, a safe bet is Angel Comedy on Thursdays where he is the regular host.
